We know who will be drafted in the first round and who will fall short.
We know which players will go first overall and which players fall into the second or third round.
We’ve even figured out which players are going to be on the short list for the All-Pro honor.
But what we don’t know is which players make the cut and which are simply not good enough.
To help fill this in, Ars Technic put together a list of the 25 players who we think are going in the right direction and whose futures we believe could be in the NFL in the near future.
And, to make sure the analysis is as thorough as possible, we also did a deep dive into the future prospects of the current crop of prospects.
The list is as follows: *The Seahawks are in the mix for cornerback Jimmy Smith, who was selected in the second round by the 49ers and is expected to be a good fit in the secondary.
The Cardinals, Panthers, and Raiders have also been linked to Smith, but we’re not sure they’ll take him in the draft.
*The Bills are in talks with cornerback T.J. McDonald, who is expected in the middle of the second-round.
The Browns, 49ers, and Cardinals are all rumored to be interested in McDonald.
*New England Patriots defensive end Marcus Cannon is expected at the top of the draft with the third overall pick.
Cannon has played sparingly with the Patriots, but his tape shows he’s a solid edge rusher with good hands.
He’s also shown flashes of potential at the position.
*Washington is in the process of making a trade for Tennessee running back Dorial Green-Beckham, who has a huge contract and is also projected to be in line for a high first-round pick.
It’s unclear if Washington will take Green-Jackson in the trade, but the Seahawks and Texans have been linked in recent weeks.
*Arizona’s Marcus Mariota is projected to go in the fourth round.
The Titans could be the ones to land him, but they might not be able to do it before the draft because the Seahawks have said they won’t take Mariota if he doesn’t get a second chance to play.
The Falcons, Texans, and Titans are also rumored to have interest in Mariota.
*Pittsburgh is interested in tight end Austin Hooper, but he’s not projected to make it past the first three rounds.
The Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Panthers and Bills are also among the teams rumored to interest Hooper.
*San Francisco’s quarterback is the No. 1 overall pick and could go in a variety of directions with the 49th overall pick, which falls to the 49er’s in the next few days.
We think that the 49s would take the former Oklahoma State quarterback in the fifth round, but it’s unclear whether they would take him with the No
