Texas A.&M and TCU are set to meet in the College Football Playoffs for the third consecutive year.
A&M defeated No. 3 Notre Dame on Saturday to earn the No. 2 seed.
Texas A is tied for second with No. 6 Oklahoma State.
Notre Dame won the SEC title over Auburn on Saturday.
Both teams have won the league title in each of the past four seasons, but Texas A lost the conference title to LSU last season.
The Aggies and Longhorns are in the same spot this year.
Texas A&M’s quarterback Kevin Hogan and senior wide receiver Kenny Shaw have combined for 1,904 yards passing and eight touchdowns, and Texas A has scored 21 more points than the No 1 team in the country.
The Horned Frogs have played in the Big 12 in each season since 2011, and are scheduled to play in the title game for the first time since 2003.
Texas has lost two of its past three Big 12 games and will play Kansas State in the championship game on Sunday.
The Big 12 title game is played in Houston on Feb. 2.
